Korean noodles recalled from markets in Mongolia

"Nongshim” Korean noodles have been banned in Mongolia because they are found to contain binzopiren which may cause tumors. The authority for Fair Competition and Consumer Protection (AFCCP) of Mongolia established three working groups to recall the noodles from the market and malls on 27th October. According to local portal site time.mn, the Authority also delivered a note to the supermarkets.

The official distributor company for “Nongshim” in Mongolia claimed it has not received a note but O.Magnai, the Head of the Authority for Fair Competition and Consumer Protection (AFCCP) stated “We are recalling the noodles within our rights and responsibility. We will make an official statement on 29th October.”
